Rooster finial not oven safe?
on November 19, 2020
Posted by: kjf5
I used this pot one time in a low heat oven. The rooster finial changed from a pretty, shiny brass to a dingy and discolored black and grey. It appears that the knob is not oven safe. Has anyone else had this problem?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. The knob is oven safe up to 500°F. However, there are substances that can cause damage on the knob when heated, like acids in certain foods and/or dish detergents. We also recommend keeping the knob and lid several inches away from the heating element in your oven while cooking. If you believe the damage was caused by a potential manufacturing defect, please consider filing a warranty claim: https://www.zwilling.com/us/warranty.html
