That rooster knob is a plus to have for a well priced value Staub cast iron pot. This size Fits chickens up to approximately 5 lbs. or 2 whole chicken. Staub cast iron works on all stove top surfaces including gas, electric, glass, ceramic, induction, and halogen. Staub cast iron are Made in France. Heavy weight, tight-fitting lid retains moisture, spikes on the lid create a rain-forest effect evenly returning juices back onto food and it cooked lie a pressure cooker. Oven safe up to 900F.

You had me at the rooster knob!

Ok not really but it was definately a selling point!
This oval cocotte is perfect for so many recipes. You can cook anything from soups, stews and braises along with whole chickens and pot roasts.
The basting spikes on the lid keep everything moist inside the pot during the cooking process so I don't feel compelled to lift the lid and peek every hour.
The pot is so pretty it can go from stove top or oven directly onto the dinner table.
Keeps things hot for a long time and is super easy to clean!

The Perfect Roasted Chicken

Even if you don't know how to cook you'll be able to roast a perfect chicken in this pan. The self basting spikes on the inside of the pan return all the flavored condensation back into the pan creating a moist, extra flavorful piece of meat.

Roasting chicken or braising ribs or beef roast, this is perfect Staub cast iron for anything you can think of cooking needs. I love that chicken knob..!!!
