Great fry pan for everyday use. I like that the fry pan comes pre-seasoned and with the dark enamel interior, nothing sticks to the bottom of the pan. I use this a few times a week and clean up is always easy, just a soft scrubbr and hot water! These make great gifts too.
I purchased this as a Mother's Day (yes, a mom's work is never done and her husband said they didn't have any cast iron pans) so I got this in the green color- also because of its size she will be able to prepare meals for her family of 4 plus guests they often have. She said she loved it, and by the time I was leaving she was looking up a recipe for skillet apple pie! This family is a real chef's family- even the kids get in on the action!
I love the versatility of this fabulous skillet. It is my second piece from the Staub collections and so far I am loving it. I currently cook on a gas stove and I noticed that the heat resinates primarily where the flame is. The skillet heats evenly, but I am looking forward to when I can use this on an induction or electric stovetop.
Beautiful to look at , cooks evenly and nothing sticks!

Great size for Large dinner Preparation

Great size pan for cooking large dinner. Spouts allow easy drain off of drippings from fried chicken. Cast iron nicely browns fried foods. Easy release of cooked foods. This pan does a nice job baking desserts like cookies and cobblers, and makes a browned, moist cornbread. These versatile pieces come in handy at holiday times when traditional baking dishes can be in short supply. and you need a baking dish.

I love Staub cast iron. The enamel coating gives great results without the hassle of traditional cast iron. I love not having to season it and being able to regularly use soap. The matte texture gives me great browning. I love using it both on the stove top and in the oven.

More than just a Fry Pan

Great size pan. Cast iron is the choice to make for frying foods where a crisp and crunchy finish is desired. The dark interior really does a great job browning and crisping any meat and vegetables. I have baked in the skillet, making desserts such as cobblers, cookies and breads. These items brown so nicely and have a soft, smooth texture to them. Just a great all around cast iron skillet!
