Perfect shape for whole roast cooking. Plenty of room for veggies and stock. It is everything you expect from a Staub cocotte. Superior heating and heat retention. Innovative black matte surface will season over time and release food with ease. Heavy weight and tight fitting lid keeps your food hot longer than most pots.

The 7qt oval cocotte is great for many things in the kitchen, and cooks beautifully, but I have to say I prefer the Graphite color the best. It is so breathtaking!

I love the shape and size of this dutch oven, a pork loin roast or a beef pot roast fit so nicely and then add the veggies! Lots of room for those potatoes, carrots parsnips and all of the lovely root veggies in one pot simmering with the meat.. Heaven on earth! This is also my favorite pot for beef bourginnone a there is room to keep the liquids moving and the basting spikes keep the whole surface nice and moist, no constant stirring. When I add fresh greens at the end, I con plop a few ice cubes on the lid and re establish the condensation cycle inside rapidly. genius!

I love this size and I love this shape especially for roasting chickens. You have enough room to add your vegetables in with the chicken, which is a huge plus. I spikes under the lid collect moisture and self-baste the dish all while it is cooking, so almost like you have an extra hand! You get to take all the credit though!

Use this all the time when cooking whole chickens and pot roasts. Also like it because it's oven safe so i have an option for stovetop cooking or in the oven. Serve right from this beautiful looking Cocotte.

This is an awesome large oval cocotte. It is a great cocotte for feeding multiple people due to its' large size. It slow cooks meats to perfection thanks to its' self-basting lid which locks in moisture. The white truffle color is really pretty and goes well with any occasion.

Big 7 quart capacity. Oval shape perfect for Large chicken or lots of stew. Most durable cast iron going. The nobs beneath lid continually keep food moist as it cooks.
