#1 A must have Dutch oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Dutch oven delivers!!! The pork sirloin came out very tasteful and moist. It did not stick to the pan. It also browned nicely! I liked that I was able to warm up leftovers on the stove. I did notice that even though I placed the dutch oven in the oven and stove and did not drag it there were some minor scratches on the bottom of the pot on the top coat but no wear to the color.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great to make a feast!

I am so happy I found this big pot because it is the perfect size to cook a whole brisket without having to cut it down. I love making a garlic studded brisket during the winter months and before I found this pot, I had to use 2 pots to accomplish the same amount of meat. I also like how it is oval shaped because it fits the brisket better.

I love this size and I love this shape especially for roasting chickens or baking a boule of sourdough bread. You have enough room to add all of your vegetables in with the chicken, which is a huge plus. For baking bread the cast iron is perfect because it conducts heat so well, and retains the heat. The spikes under the lid collect moisture and self-baste whatever dish you are baking or roasting in the oven, all while it is cooking, so almost like you have an extra hand! You get to take all the credit though! Bread does come out perfect when baked in a staub and your chickens will come out juicy and golden brown.

Great Size

Upgraded from the 4 quart cocotte that I purchased last year. The 7 quart has plenty of room to make tons of soup, chili, and sauces. Recently used to braise an entire brisket and it came out perfect. The self basting spikes really work. Plenty of gravy, and the brisket was moist and cooked to perfection! Looking forward to many years of great cooking with this big boy.

Staub cast iron have variety of colors to choose from, colorful enamel outside adds flare to your kitchen and table. Graphite is such a neutral blend.

Wow, this oval cocotte does it all. You can sear meat, simmer a sauce, make a stew, roast vegetables, fry chicken, boil potatoes, bake a dessert, and everything in between! The heat capability of the pan is amazing - heats up quickly, evenly, and retains heat all the way through the cooking process. The cocotte has self-basting spikes on the interior of the lid which collects and returns all moisture back into dish - keeping your dish moist and the flavor base intact. The beautiful grey color will fit nicely into any tablescape.
