Great for stews, braising, and slow cooking. You definitely can’t go wrong with Staub, far more superior than the competition; especially being able to put it in the oven with its lid on.

Use this graphite grey behemoth to feed the masses. Get the most flavorful and textured result with Staub's innovative self-basting lid and nonstick enameled interior. This may be heavy, but it is worth hand washing to maintain the beauty and quality all around.

Great oval dish

This is the perfect dutch oven for roasting chicken, duck, stews. The oval shape really comes in handy for doing large pieces of meat, and the lid is nice and heavy, really helps prevent heat and moisture from escaping, creating an amazing meal every time. Love the Graphite color too, a great aesthetic for any kitchen.

Amazing quality, everything I prepare turns out beautifully. The 7 quart capacity is great for larger portions and the fact that it's an oval allows longer cuts of meat to feel more roomy inside. The pot heats up evenly even on a round burner.

This Staub pot is perfect for the quintessential roasted chicken. The interior is made from Staub's black matte finish which means it has amazing heat capability. The interior on the top of the pan has self basting spikes that return all the flavorful condensation back to the pot. Yes perfect for chicken but also does an amazing pot roast!

I use this all the time when cooking whole chickens and pot roasts. Also like it because it's oven safe so i have an option for stovetop cooking or in the oven. Serve right from this beautiful Cocotte.

A chicken every pot - or maybe two.

This large size oval is beautiful and cooks so well. A roast, a duck, a couple of smaller chickens. A mix of vegetables and large loaf of bread. The heavy duty cast iron cooks evenly - whether at high heat for searing or low heat for simmering.
And like all Staub products it is enameled inside and out to alleviate the need for extra maintenance. It easily washes up.
