Large and easy to use

This is one of the new line of small appliances introduced since GE Appliances became part or Haier.
It has a rather large bowl compared to other food processors we used before.
The bowl is sealed, with only a small attachments port on the center. It does not have the large column in the center like many other food processors, making it easier to clean and no spills.

The base is even wider than the bowl. The bowl has a lip on its base that covers where it meets the base, to cover potential spills.
Instead of rubber feet, it has four small suction cups, so the base that although is large but lightweight, stays firmly put in place.
There is a single knob with pulse mode to the left and two speeds to the right. That's it. Doesn't get simpler than this.

It comes with a chopping blade, which is very sharp, and two slicing disks.
The slicing disks are all metal, with a slicing blade on one side, and flipping it has two sections of shredding cutouts. One disk is for thin slices/shredding and the other for medium. The disks are about 1 inch or so shorter than the bowl.

The motor, although light, is rated for 550W, which is plenty.
It seems well built with a pleasing stainless steel cladding on the base.
Also I like that the piece that pushes the food through the slicer/shredder has two parts inside one another; so for example, leaving the wider part in as a cover it can be feed a carrot through the smaller opening slicing it straight.

Starting to smell after using 3 times.

It has multi functions, it makes preparing my meals so much easier and cuts my time preparing my foods in half. Compared to other food processors I've used in the past, the GE 12 cup food processor works so much better. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to purchasing a new food processor, you'll be happy.

GE has really out done it self with this machine. It does any excellent job. It's easy to clean when your done and it looks fantastic on my kitchen counter. Functional and yet very much durable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For me, GE is a brand name which stands for quality and innovative products. This 12 cup food processor (has a 550 watts motor) seems to be not an exception as the body of the processor looks pretty good to me and I would expect it to last a decent time.
In terms of appearance, it looks quite simple and the controls are very simple as you have a dial based operation. But when it comes to performance, I liked it very much. The feeding tube is quite big and I guess I can use it for even larger items rather than chopping them to smaller chunks. This used to be a an additional task for my previous processor.
It comes with the standard blades as you would expect in a regular food processor and has sort of stainless steel body. I have used the processor a few times and I must say that I am very pleased with the whole package. What could have been better is having some fancy touch based controls but this would still work for me !!
Overall, a good basic food processor which looks very durable to me and would meet almost all of my regular requirements.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a user of high-end food processors since they entered the market years ago, so I was not sure how this one would fare with the work we put these things through.
I am happy to report, this little gem does a quick job of any task you assign it.
When making an Indian dish, it quickly chopped all of the ingredients needed for a sauce.
It makes quick work when shredding cheese. The blades to grate cheese also flip over for easy slicing of cheese or any vegetable.

While the footprint is larger than others we have had, it has suction cups on the bottom so the unit will not budge when shredding something hard like parmesan cheese. Taking that grated cheese and putting it into the bowl with the chopping blade, makes quick grated cheese.
While this is not a unit we would have considered as a replacement, we are very pleased with it. It will become a much-used appliance in our kitchen rotation.
