Chops food perfectly!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My food processor stopped working so I decided to go with something bigger than I had before. This GE 12-Cup Food Processor is perfect! I can fit way more in it and it chops it all perfectly. The blades are super sharp and cut through whatever I put in it. I also love the cheese grater attachments!

Simple elegant design

Haven’t tried the slicers or cheese grater but happy with the food processing so far. I used it to make a bunch of falafel. Easy to put together and clean.

Sleek but Disappointing Performance

Even though it has a larger capacity than my previous food processor, I can't fill it as full. It is not thorough and the blades seem too small and spaced too far apart. I can't get as smooth a consistency, either. It's louder and takes longer. The old one lasted 10 years and came with all kinds of useful accessories. This one didn't even come with a scraper that was designed to work with it. I have to use the old one. All-in-all, I doubt I will have this for 10 years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not what I had hoped for

I had my last GE food processor for 20 years. I loved it but the mixing blade broke so I purchased a new food processor. But it took a lot longer to mix because the blade doesn't work as efficiently as my last one did.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Capacity is perfect. Style simple. Chops and blends well. Lousy at shredding baby carrots. (Many large chunks get around the shredding blade and make it into the container.) Wish there was blade protector for storage, to prevent injury. I don't really know whether that is a feature found with any other food processors.
I would recommend this to a friend!
