No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Got this for Christmas. I really like it, but the only problem I have is when I place the phone on, it doesn't always connect for charging. I have to wiggle it to engage it.

Thank you for providing a review on this product and we're glad to hear that you love this concept of charging. Wiggling your phone so it would connect for charging doesn't seem right with this dock. Will the same thing happen if you plug another iOS device? It may help if you'll try adjusting the Lightning connector through the dial on the back of the dock. Works great Haven't had any problem since we figured out that is necessary to tighten the watch band to keep it from shipping of the charger. Our two chargers are in a high traffic area.
I bought this item for my Apple Watch and iPhone. I loved it. It was amazing. Elegant and effective. Then the iPhone charger broke in 3 weeks. Which rendered the product worthless. Build quality obviously isn't what I thought it was.

Eliminate the mess of cables and docking stations with this beautiful 2-in-1. This docking station sits on my nightstand and looks absolutely beautiful (I have the silver). I love that there is a single, thin, black wire that goes almost unnoticed out the back of the dock for both devices. Some others that I researched still required two cables. Now, I've eliminated the lengthy cable for the Apple Watch that is provided out-of-the-box and am now able to reserve that for traveling only–this is clutch. This dock is by far the best one out there and will definitely get another if I ever buy my wife an Apple Watch too.
