It dose work better then a fan but don't think it will keep a whole room closed if it's next to you great if not don't think they will ever beat a real AC unit.

It has been extremely HOT in Pacific Northwest this year, 2021, therefore I have ran this unit in the bedroom 24/7! It has kept the upstairs bedroom very cool and comfortable! I have ran it on the lowest speed with minimal noise! I wanted to order a cooling pad to have one on hand if needed! The agent that helped me was very helpful and quick to get me a quote on ordering cooling pads! Very pleased with the unit and the customer service!!
