I bought this because of the on and off heatwaves in the PNW area, which apparently doesn't believe in A/C. My apartment gets up to 77 degrees with the window open and the ceiling fan on, which is extremely uncomfortable for my cat and I, so i looked into portable A/C units. This is not as effective as those would be, which I knew before purchasing, at least in the sense that my apartment can only go maybe 2 degrees lower with this fan blowing (evaporative on or off). I enjoy the humidity it creates with the evaporative option on, but if it's already too hot inside then it just feels muggy. If you sit in front of the fan you will want to grab a blanket pretty quickly (but if you step away from it, you feel smothered by hot, stagnant air..) It's okay for my 200 sq ft studio as long as the temperature outside is 70 or lower, which is not perfect for these heatwaves getting up to 98.. Other reviews said it could cool off a small room, but it depends on how hot it is to begin with and airflow, etc. I would recommend it for casual use, like to cool yourself off directly but not to cool down an entire room. Looking for another apartment with A/C now..

The unit must be in an area that the Humidity level is lower than 40%, within a 250Sq ft or less, not more, and have a window or door open to improve air circulation. If these factors do not apply the unit will not cool at 100%. Also, this unit is not an A/C unit but an evaporative cooler.

Not perfect..

Doesn't stay cool long, Even after adding three bags of ice. Best to just by a portable ac unit and have it vented.

Great cooler in the AZ heat!

I have been using this Evaporative Air Cooler for the last few weeks in Phoenix, Arizona where we had still been experiencing 100 degree weather and I must say I was pleasantly surprised of how powerful it was! I initially used the cooler in my living room as it is south facing and is the warmest room in our house. It blew cold air in the living room and I felt very comfortable with the cooler being on (I actually grabbed a throw as I became cold). I liked how the unit gives two options of how water can be added either on the top of the unit or at the bottom near the basin. Also, the product can operate without water as well. Product was easy to move around the house in which we eventually moved it into our bedroom to utilize the night time feature in which the cooler fan blows less air so that you don't freeze at night. My only con about the product is that the blower is really loud. Overall, this cooler is a good product that I will recommend to family and friends.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got this water cooler after moving into an apartment with no central air and it has truly been a life saver! It is fairly easy to use and navigate. You can use the fan or the air cooler by simply putting ice water in the tub connect to the bottom half. My favorite feature is the “silent/hush mode” because it keeps me cool at night without being too loud. I definitely recommend purchasing. The company was also more than willing to help with any questions or concerns.

I received this a couple weeks ago, and all I can say is WHERE HAS THIS BEEN? My family absolutely loves this. We have even seen a change in the quality of air we breathe and less bouts of allergies. I highly recommend this product

Honestly this product is amazing for what I needed it for. There's a room in the upstairs that has weak AC pressure so it gets scorching hot up there especially in the summer mind you this is Florida! I was looking for an alternative to buying a portable AC unit sense it's my office but can also be used for a plant nursery, garage, attic etc . Anyway, it kept the room cool and if the air felt too dry , it comes with a humidifier/evaporator built-in. Also there are other features like fan speed and wind/fan patterns.. for example you can have the fan speed all the way up but then switch to the wind pattern to make it sound like air is blowing through the trees or a windy day. Amazing! The only thing I would say is it didn't last as long though! Now the customer service is fantastic!! When I realized that my machine stopped working and found out who to contact. I reached out to customer service on there Facebook page and was told to call. Made the call, gave the information on the issues and they are sending a replacement! Process was fast and easy! I appreciate Frigidaire for an overall great product and there amazing customer service!! I would recommend this product to everyone!
