Keeping Cool in AZ!

A small unit packed with power is how I can best describe the Frigidaire Portable Evaporative Cooler! SO easy to set up right out of the box and incredibly light weight making it very easy to wheel into any room. The 1.8 gallon tank, located at the back of the unit, holds a good volume of water. A great perk not having the need to keep refilling it. Once turned on, this machine packs a nice push of immediately refreshing air to keep you cool! I liked the added addition of two cool packs to keep the water in the tank an icy cold temp. An easy digital display to operate the unit. Not only does this unit work as an Evaporative Cooler, but also works without water as a powerful 4 speed fan. Having a remote is also a wonderful perk. A nice slot on top of the unit holds the remote. Love that. When I have the fan in my room at night I can easily turn it down without getting out of bed. The sleep mode keeps the noise level down really well. Another option I like is setting the timer to shut off on it's own! The oscillating feature is another valuable option when I want the whole room cooler, rather than just blowing directly on me. A lovely design as well. I live in the incredibly hot, dry Arizona desert and was searching for an energy efficient way to have a room filled with continuously cool air. I was looking for ways to save money by not having the air conditioner on all the time or on as high. This unit is, without a doubt, exactly what I was seeking! An excellent quality Evaporative cooler/fan combo at a great price! I highly recommend you consider this unit!

A very expensive fan

This is a cooler in name only. It blows room-temperature air without a hint of cooling. Even ice in the water tank doesn’t improve its performance.

Hi, We are sorry to hear the issue you are experiencing with the unit however there are some factors to influence the unit not to cool correctly. One is the humidity level, if the humidity level is above 40% the unit will not cool effectively.

Pump not strong enough

I left the unit going for hours, hoping it would cool down my small travel trailer. When I removed the cover to the pad found 1/3 of pad completely dry. Removed pad and noticed only 4 of the 6 water spouts actually had water coming out of them--and they weren't clogged (just seemed the pump did not have enough power to have strong enough water pressure). If I put my fingers over the first 2, water came out of the ones that were not dripping previously. So it gets 2 stars for being a good fan. But no stars for working as an evaporative cooler (humidity was 11 percent the day I tried to use). I unfortunately threw away the box--so nearly $200 is going in the land fill.

Perfect cooling unit

I'm loving my Frigidaire Evaporative Air Cooler and Tower Fan. It wasn't heavy to remove from the box. I love the different settings and speeds, and it comes with a remote control, with the battery included! The water tank is big and I don't have to fill it that often. I use it in my living room and bedroom. Since, I've started using this fan in my bedroom, I haven't had any nose bleeds. My allergies are much better and my mouth and nose don't get dry at all. I already got one for my parents as well , and every house should have one of these units . Perfection!!!

Excellent product

I received this Frigidaire evaporator fan I am amazed how it keeps my living room cool. I have taken it outside while cooking on the grill it kept me cool. I like the front how it closes when you turn it off. The swing feature is great also. I like that it rolls around making it easier to maneuver. I put water in my refrigerator so it can get cold over night and pour it in the water tank along with the freezer packs. It seems to cool longer with the cold water. You can’t go wrong by purchasing this product. This is a totally awesome evaporator fan.

Great Fan!

Happy to have this wonderful tower style fan in my living room. It blows at 4 different speeds and really keeps me cool. I also like the adjustable panels on the front of fan which can be tilted up, down, or wherever you want. Sometimes I simply keep it on low with the panels facing upward just to circulate the air. When it has been really hot out I use the tank with the ice packs for extra cool air. This really works! I was shocked at how cold the air is that comes out. And the coldness lasts for several hours before the ice pack needs switiching out. This is a great and powerful cooling fan. It works well. I love that it includes a remote control for convenience. I also like the extra addtional settings that allow the fan to run in different cycles from high to low. It is an excellent addition to my home.

What an Awesome Evaporative Cooler!

I love this Frigidaire Evaporative Cooler!
My home does not have air conditioning. The 2nd floor gets extremely hot and sticky. At night I’m running a fan and sleeping with the sheets off. That all changed the day I got this unit. Being skeptical of how well it would work. I opened the box and found a really nice unit, two reusable ice packs, remote control and directions. I immediately placed the ice paks in the freezer and began to read the directions.
Several hours later I set the unit up in my bedroom. After filling up the 5 gallon water tank I placed the two ice paks into the water. Turned the unit on and immediately felt a difference. Although not as ice cold as an air conditioning unit, this little baby worked surprisingly well. The air being blown from the unit was a lot cooler than the ambient room temperature. It kept the room cool and not sticky as in the past.
The unit has several fan speeds (very quiet even on high), a timer and oscillates from side to side. I also noticed that even though my bed is several feet from the unit the air reaches my bedside easily and is cool. That night I slept the entire night without waking up sweating and even used the sheet. I have been using this unit for a couple weeks now and don’t know how I was able to sleep without it. I have cleaned the dust filter once over the past 2 weeks. Being portable unit is a plus because it allows you to move the unit from one room to another with ease. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking to cool a room down or just to enjoy a cool breeze without moving a large heavy unit around. Thanks for making a quality product that can be enjoyed by everyone, anywhere!

This is one of the most innovative ideas I have seen in quite some time. Your prosecution brings a different approach to fan cooling and works wonderfully. For the past few years I have used a window unit in my master bedroom in addition to the central air to keep it cool in the summer but always didn’t like how noisy it is and now that’s over. Frigidaire Evaporative cooler and fan is affordable, quiet, and practical and I would recommend it to everyone.
