I love this Frigidaire Evaporative Cooler! My home does not have air conditioning. The 2nd floor gets extremely hot and sticky. At night I'm running a fan and sleeping with the sheets off. That all changed the day I got this unit. Being skeptical of how well it would work. I opened the box and found a really nice unit, two reusable ice packs, remote control and directions. I immediately placed the ice paks in the freezer and began to read the directions. Several hours later I set the unit up in my bedroom. After filling up the 5 gallon water tank I placed the two ice paks into the water. Turned the unit on and immediately felt a difference. Although not as ice cold as an air conditioning unit, this little baby worked surprisingly well. The air being blown from the unit was a lot cooler than the ambient room temperature. It kept the room cool and not sticky as in the past. The unit has several fan speeds (very quiet even on high), a timer and oscillates from side to side. I also noticed that even though my bed is several feet from the unit the air reaches my bedside easily and is cool. That night I slept the entire night without waking up sweating and even used the sheet. I have been using this unit for a couple weeks now and don't know how I was able to sleep without it. I have cleaned the dust filter once over the past 2 weeks. Being portable unit is a plus because it allows you to move the unit from one room to another with ease. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking to cool a room down or just to enjoy a cool breeze without moving a large heavy unit around. I live in the PNW, and always avoid air conditioners because they make the air too cold and dry (I own a lot of tropical plants, and an A/C would kill most of them). I bought this air cooler last year and it is great! We only have windows on a west-facing wall, so very little airflow, and this air cooler generates enough air flow and cools down the apartment enough beyond 90 degree temperatures. Recently, I had an issue where the water pump died, and NewAir replaced the whole unit free of charge -- Customer service was very quick to respond, and made sure I was aware of my options and that I was satisfied every step of the way.

I recently received this unit and can be nothing but happy about it! To start off, the shipping speed of Newair is simply amazing. Once I received the unit, the first thing I noticed is how light and portable it is - that's very important for me, because I will likely be moving it around the house often. Once I fired up this unit it was extremely quite, despite it's powerful, cool air. I have been enjoying this unit and appreciate the fact that it is not only quite, it appears to use much less energy than my HVAC. Very happy and thank you, Newair!

The Frigidaire Evaporative Air Cooler and Tower Fan is a Total Game Changer for us! We live in the South where the heat during the summer can be brutal! My husband likes working on cars and fiddling around in our garage, but it has no central a/c and no windows so a window unit was out of the question. He has already claimed this cooler as his.. For years he has suffered during the dog days of summer, sweating bullets in that oven.. This Cooler is the PERFECT solution for us! I love that is mobile with wheels so we can easily use it in another room if need be and since it is a tower it does not take up much space at all. The very first thing I noticed was how quiet it is, no loud annoying noise from this cooler! I really like that it has four different fan speeds and three different fan modes. You can even set a timer for how long you want it to run! The wide angle fan can be set to a fixed direction or oscillating. To top it off this even comes with an easy to use remote control, how awesome is that! You can use just the fan or if you need a cold blast of air you can take advantage of the evaporative function. Simply fill the tank with water, add your pre-chilled cool packs, press the cooler button and you basically have a portable air conditioner! My husband is beyond thrilled that this unit cooled off the entire garage in no time! This unit is quite impressive, it is very well built, high quality and does exactly as advertised!

I've had this Frigidaire 2-in-1 evaporative cooler and fan for about a month and now I can't imagine living without it! It's portable, so I use it in my living room during the day and then roll it to my bedroom at bedtime. I stay hot and just using the fan option, keeps me cool and comfortable all day and night. My seasonal allergies have been really bad and they have all but disappeared since using this fan. I can't wait to use the portable air conditioner when I'm lying out by my pool this summer! NEWAIR portable AC stinks! Fridgedaire better

I bought NewAir AC for 400.00 which leaks and ruined my carpeting creating MOLD This does not LEAK like other NewAir AC portable units I spent 400$ on New Air AC it was garbage and had to hire a mild remediation So this unit used less electricity isn't as cool but a much better Manufacturer Fridgedaire is a household name and they stand by excellence in their products before they sell them so I'd say excellent choice instead the waste of money on NEWAIR AC portable units , the portable unit cost me a mold remediation at $650.00 the landlord is making me pay for new carpet so yes it's not an ac but it doesn't ruin my carpeting
