Great Customer Service

My office purchased the air cooler and within the first 2 months, the water pump stopped working. Three emails and 5 business days later, we received a brand new cooler and return shipping label so we could send back the first one. Very friendly, very easy and understanding. That’s on top of the device being an awesome product to begin with! Great investment, especially since my room does not have a window for an air conditioning unit.

My office purchased the air cooler and within the first 2 months, the water pump stopped working. Worked wonderfully for five weeks

The Frigidaire Evaporative Cooler 500 CFM was a first purchase of this type of unit for me, being a "swamp cooler' and honestly had never heard of them until I chanced upon it while browsing for a standard portable air conditioner. I was elated at first that I chose this item as it seemed to have all the benefits that I want. Upon arrival I was visually impressed with the quality and appearance of the brand new unit. The operation manual was straight forward and fairly easy to understand. After filling the water tank for the first time, I turned it on and found it to be a refreshing miracle machine - the fan is nice, but the cool moist air it provided by pressing the cooler/humidifier button that blew evenly around the room was so comforting. The controls on top are obvious and easy to see even in the dark. What a wonderful machine, I was hooked after the first few days. Unfortunately, five weeks after almost constant every day use, the humidifier/cooler function which produces the cooling mist failed to operate - It started a repetitive beeping and auto turn-off behavior for seemingly no reason, odd since the fan was still functioning perfectly. Guessing, it would appear that the water pump just became dis-functional which was difficult to believe since up until this happened everything was operating perfectly. Sadly for me my only option after contacting the manufacturer service & warranty department, was to return for a refund. However, I want to stress that my impression and review of this cooler unit overall is still excellent, it was worth the purchase price as a first time buyer. I will no doubt be shopping for another model with the same options and benefits to replace it, in the future.

All-around excellent air cooler!

I live in the PNW, and always avoid air conditioners because they make the air too cold and dry (I own a lot of tropical plants, and an A/C would kill most of them). I bought this air cooler last year and it is great! We only have windows on a west-facing wall, so very little airflow, and this air cooler generates enough air flow and cools down the apartment enough beyond 90 degree temperatures. Recently, I had an issue where the water pump died, and NewAir replaced the whole unit free of charge -- Customer service was very quick to respond, and made sure I was aware of my options and that I was satisfied every step of the way.
