Fun and Durable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My five year old son love this play set. It is very easy to assemble and durable. This play set can be hard to store but can be broken down for easy storage. One racing figure comes in the set but other cars can be used on the set.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great set for Mario fans

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son really enjoyed this set. As a bonus we like going to the store and finding more Hot wheels Mario characters to race with. I haven’t had luck with any of the motorized sets so I’m glad to see that this one is a classic style of slamming down a button to make the character move, rather than just watching it move on it’s own, it makes it more enjoyable and engages the whole family.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great for Mario lovers!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in exchange for my honest review. My newly turned five year old son was very excited to see two of his favorite things, Mario and Hot Wheels, combined to create this toy. It took about twenty minutes to apply stickers and put it together, but that was with my “helper”, so I’m sure it actually takes a lot less time. My warning is that it does take up quite a bit of floor space. It took my son a little bit to figure out how much force to use to get the car to go around the loop, but other than that he enjoys trying to avoid Bowsers fists. I love that this toy doesn’t require batteries. I find Hot Wheels toys that do to be loud. This one just requires a wind up. The only drawback is that this set is clearly meant for two cars to race and it only comes with one. I’m sure other cars would work, but it’s not the same experience as using character cars. So, my advice is if you don’t have any already to grab an extra when you get this set.

Fun Hot Wheels track!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My two kids, ages 5 and 8, love this Hot Wheels set, as they love the Mario Kart game for the Wii. They got a couple of the Mario Kart Hot Wheels for Christmas, so they were excited to have a track to use them on. The track was easy for me to put together with two anxious kids standing by ready to use it. It's as well-made as any other Hot Wheels set we have had. It doesn't need batteries, which is great!
The only drawbacks I can think of are these: it only comes with one Mario Kart car. It would be nice if it came with two of the Mario Kart cars, since it's specifically made to race two cars. Also, and this is more of an FYI, it does take up a lot of floor space. It does easily come apart when you need a break from it being out.
All in all, it's a hit with my kids and they are already asking for the companion tracks to attach to it!

Best Hot Wheels track EVER!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have young and wild Hot Wheels obsessed boys. They also love Mario Kart. This track is the best of both worlds! It’s quick and easy to put together, we live the new track connectors, it seems sturdier than some of the older Hot Wheels tracks. We also love that there’s no batteries needed! Another bonus is that they can run two races at once, which cuts down on the sibling rivalry. Our boys own 2 20 gallon totes FULL of Hot Wheels cars and they had a blast testing cars to see which ones fit on the track and which ones went the fastest. The Yoshi kart it comes with is by far the winner, but it’s been hard during the pandemic to find the rest of the Mario crew to race. We found that the regular Hot Wheels go carts and race cars, particularly the race cars that come in the blind bags are a very close second! We can’t wait to add to our Hot Wheels Mario Kart track and car collection! This would make an amazing gift, or just a fun add on to your current Hot Wheels collection while the kids are home during the dog days of a pandemic summer.

It’s cool, but with a real problem

The kids are excited. We unbox the set. Get the track all set and ready. Both tracks are nice and shiny. Browser is flailing his arms, no need for batteries, great!
All is set for our first race. Then it dawns on us. The kit comes with a SINGLE CAR. Wait, what? Maybe there’s another one somewhere? Nope. Just one. Two tracks. A race. One car.
This is worse than “batteries not included”. You cannot just go and buy batteries at the local servo. It will be days until you can really enjoy the game.
Really, Mattel, just drop another car in there. Do you enjoy watching kids cry??

Worked great for a week

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worked great for a week then something misaligned in Bowsers arms (opened it up and found a gear not lining up). Now one arm only goes up and the other arm dangles and won’t raise up.
Is there anyway to have a replacement Bowser sent out? I have a very sad 5yo who wants to know why his Christmas present doesn’t work. =(
