My wife was in rehab and missing good, hot, flavorful coffee such as I usually made every morning at 5 a.m. in our Chemex. I bought these Zojirushi mugs so I could team-swap them every other day when I visited her, usually around noon. These mugs did a great job of keeping the coffee nice and hot those 7 hours before I got it delivered to her. They really lived up to their reputation!

This is working well. I had a smaller water bottle (without a handle) and liked it so I tried this one. I thought the handle might be in the way but it is not at all a problem. It works well, does not leak, is relatively easy to clean), holds enough to be worthwhile, and the handle is convenient. I would recommend this product.

Perfect Mug!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This flip and go mug is perfect in every way for me. I use the mug everyday, whether while exercising or just toting it around for with water. The mug is lightweight and very easy to use. The 20 oz. is a good size for me and its been keeping my water cold for hours at a time.
I store the mug in the refrigerator with water inside so its ready to go. The lid has a lock and a rubber stopper to prevent spills and also has a locking mechanism. The lid has multiple gaskets too. I prefer a stainless steel mug and I’ve had no problems cleaning the mug, it disassembles for thoroughly cleaning.
The mug fits easily in my tote bag and the handle makes it easy to bring along. It will be easy to take hot soup and along and keep it hot too. I love the color (hibiscus red), the weight and not having to worry about spilling anything. Good quality.

Quality Convenient Insulated Mug

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great quality, vacuum insulted mug. The rubber stopper and cover seal maintain a secure vaccuum seal. It keeps cold contents cool and hot items very warm for several hours. The stainless steel interior is easy to clean. I really like the flip top cover that is simple to flip with the push button. It also has a lock to prevent it from accidentally opening and possibly spilling. The flip handle is sturdy and easily clips to a carabiner to carry hands free or clipped to your bag. This has been perfect
to use while working in my garden to keep dirt and insects from getting inside. It was also very convenient to bring while traveling because it kept my drinks hot or cold and fits easily in almost any drink holder. It's great for boating too. A nice plus is its a cool looking metallic blue. I believe it's available in many other cool
looking colors. I would recommend the Zojirushi Flip and Go mug because it's quality made and keeps items at the temperature desired.

Well Insulated - Stays Cold/Hot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the afternoon, I added 4-5 ice cubes to the water in this bottle and the next day they were all still there. Frozen solid. So my water stays ice cold which is Great because it was in the mid 90’s today and I was out working in my yard. The lid fits tight and my drink didn’t leak out when I knocked it over several times.
I really like that it’s durable stainless steel inside and out and cleans up well with a long handled (about 12 inch) bottle brush. It’s tall, slim, holds 20 ounces, fits neatly inside a backpack and in my car console drink holders. Note; to drink directly from this bottle it must be tipped upward at such a high angle it’s not actually recommended to drink from it while driving. So I’m thinking it might be nice if an appropriate straw was included with this product.
If you like drinking hot liquids from to-go cups, you might feel comfortable drinking them from this insulated bottle, as well. But be aware the liquid stays VERY Hot for many hours. I’ve tried filling it with very Warm tea instead of hot and found it still tastes fine and doesn’t burn my mouth.
The lock on the lid works well and it keeps the bottle from unexpectedly popping open and exposing or spilling the contents.
The flip-up handle is convenient for carrying and can also be used to attach the bottle to the outside of a backpack, luggage, or other carryall. I think it would be great to have with me on an airplane where it might easily fit in the seat pouch in front of me.
The 20 ounce capacity keeps the bottle from being too heavy to haul around but on hot days I do refill it fairly often.
My primary use for this insulated bottle/mug is staying hydrated by keeping cold water at hand throughout my day/night no matter where I go. For someone who’s always on the go, I’d recommend this handy Flip-And-Go mug.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is not your standard stainless steel mug! Features such as a lock/unlock switch, a flap/hook on the back, and no drip takes this mug up a few levels more!
I personally love the flap/hook included on the back. It can be raised and lowered. This hook makes it particularly easy to carry this on walks in the park! Hook it on your pants, backpack, or just your finger!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in Florida and I'm the one who does the shopping and is amazing just fill with water and go. I just leave the mug in the car at 90°F and when I'm back from my shopping I can get hydrated with my cold water without spending money in a water bottle. You don't have to unscrew the top each time you want a sip of water. Just slide the lock and press the opening bottom, very easy and soft for your nail and fingers. The flow of the water is just like you are drinking from a cup. I hate straw because when u sip go straight to your throat and is better for you that the fluoride water rinse your month and teeth every time u drink water preventing from cavities. Tested in the beach for 8 hours and the water cold as artic water. The radio of the mug just the exact size for you hand be comfortable. Great for sport events and pool time.
Cons: I have a big nose and hit the lid when I drink from the mug

An Attractive Item To Avoid

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A sleek design with a handle and one of the coolest locking mechanisms I've ever seen on a water bottle. All that combined with an attractive color makes this a very visually appealing water bottle. This is the perfect water bottle for those quick trips to say the supermarket or waiting for your oil to be changed. Hot or cold and keeping it at the desired temperature: check. What this water bottle lacks is volume. If you're looking for a water bottle for long road trips or the gym this water bottle falls very short of meeting those expectations. Unfortunately it also cannot be cleaned in the dishwasher so hand washing it is a must. Despite all of this there is a major deal breaker: this water bottle contains a substance in its construction that may cause cancer. For that simple reason alone I cannot recommend this water bottle to anyone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The warning you are referring to is the California Prop 65 and the substance it is addressing is nickel in the stainless steel. Nickel is an important alloying element in food-grade stainless steel. It provides high anti-corrosive properties to the stainless steel (surgical steel contains nickel). The sticker on the bottom of the outside of the vacuum mug contains DBP.
