Working fine. Will it continue to do so?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had ours for a week and it is working like a charm. It is used to augment the dehumidifying done by my central air and heat-pump unit, because I live in North Florida and when the weather is neither hot nor cold, but very humid outdoors (not uncommon at all for us) I need the ability to keep the house interior decently dry. (Plenty of books, AV equipment, computer equipment, and a grand piano in the place.) So far, so good.
Most of the dehumidifiers in this price/size category have control panels that, while differently styled, are still presented with the same control options, and my guess is that all of them are produced in the same Chinese factories to the same standards. Unfortunately, those standards are not so high, and it is not unusual at all for a unit like this to poop out in less than two years (several non-LG units I have purchased have been this way), and sometimes even less than one year - which is the case with a 70 pint GE model (that this LG model has just replaced) which I am about to deliver to our local junk recycling facility. Yep, most have the same control features and most seem to be equally cheaply built.
However, this LG unit seems to be a bit different. There are LEDs that tell you which humidity readout (being set or actual level) is showing, and when you use the push-button controls you get more musical-style sounds than the usual beeps found with other units, so some thought has been put into designing the panel. The mechanical design of the pump and bucket layout is also not typical and seems better than average, for sure. Hopefully, LG has seen to it that the QC results with this Chinese-made unit are superior to the norm and that this unit lasts long enough to be considered a quality item. The big issue will be: is it reliable, reliable, reliable? Let's hope so.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our other dehumidifier started having some major issues so I started looking for a replacement. I happen to see this model while I was browsing a local store. I checked the appliance online and it had very good ratings. Easy set up and I LOVE the ease of emptying the water reservoir! It really keeps the basement dry and comfortable and is very quiet-

Best Dehumidifier I Have Owned (Out of 5)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy I bought this dehumidifier. I have a dampness issue in my basement, and have had 4 dehumidifiers before this one. This one works great, and is so much easier to check or and set than any I have had in the past. The only problem I have had is having to reconnect it to my WiFi after my power has gone out, and that is not the duhumidifier's fault. Love being able to check the status on the LG ThinQ app, and raise of lower the settings without having to go down to the basement.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Features/Settings, Performance, Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace the one I use in my garage as that one was falling apart from years of use. My LG is very quiet and works flawlessly keeping out the moisture in the air. My garage does not have the odor that moisture produces. I am very happy with the performance of this unit. Money well spent!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This our first LG dehumidifier & it has proven a good product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our basement always had a damp, musty odor, so we invested in an LG dehumidifier and are so happy we did. After about a week of running our humidifier, our basement lost it's dampness ( we did keep close watch and emptied it regularly to start). Now we just keep it running, and empty only when it is full, not very often). We are very pleased with our purchase.
