We used to use dehumidifiers from Frigidaire but they always broke within a year so it was time to try something new. I'm very happy with the LG dehumidifier. It really pulls water out of the air and keeps our basement very dry. We've been using it for about a month and it's easy to operate. The only negative would be that the displayed current humidity on the LG is not accurate (too high) compared to two different room humidistats I used to check it. So I adjust the setting to account for that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are on the market for a dehumidifier that is easy to work and understand, then the LG PuriCare 50 Pint Dehumidifier is a must in your household. The humidifier has a pretty large and clear display that allows you to easily check settings and humidity levels. This is a good size humidifier, and a bit heavy, but thanks to the wheels built into the humidifier, moving it from space of the house to another is a breeze. There is a safety standby mode, which I read it was for preventing overheating which is a huge hazard with other brands, this is why I am in love with my humidifier. LG has always looked after its customers's safety.
The humidifier comes with an very easy to pull and insert water bucket which when full, a short melody will play letting you know is time to empty the bucket. When the humidifier is on, it can be a bit loud, but it is expected since is such a powerful humidifier. If you want to connnect it to a drain, you can do so as the humidifier comes with the attachment as well. There is auto shut-off once the bucket is full which is when you will also hear the melody play. The filter is washable which means no need to buy more filters, unless you have used the current one many, many times. One of the features I most have forgot to read about was the auto restart which works if there is a power outage, learned from a power outage we had. Once the power is restore the humidifier will continue to do its job.
Overall, very happy with the LG PuriCare 50 Pint Dehumidifer, previous brands of humidifiers I had do not and cannot compare to this one. Very high quality dehumidifier and priced very reasonable. After my family and I began using this humidifier, there hasn't been any more sneezing or asthma complains in the house, that makes a very happy household. Again, this LG PuriCare 50 Pint Dehumidifier is a most in every household.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very impressed with my LG 60 pint dehumidifier. From the design itself, it’s a nice looking appliance. It’s thinner so it doesn’t take up a whole lot of space, even though it sits about 11 inches of the wall for circulation. It’s nice & quiet too, which is so important because it is in my sons room which was just finished in our basement. Being a basement we wanted a quality dehumidifier and this is the one. Very easy to operate & set. Auto setting keeps the humidity levels very comfortable too. The 50 pint water container is very easy to remove to empty. It takes about 2 days for it to fill up so I like the easy access on the side to remove it. The bucket full light indicates when it is full. There is an area to install a hose for drainage, but I don’t use that option.
