I like the phone. It’s pretty similar to what I had before. My only issue is that the battery life doesn’t seem like what it should be for a brand new phone. I’m still dropping to close to 20% by the end of the day.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hey Alicia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on the iPhone 17 Pro. It’s great to hear that you like your phone and that it feels familiar. We understand that you have noticed the battery draining faster than expected, especially with a brand-new device can truly affect your experience with the device. At AT&T we are committed to get you the best products that lives up to your satisfaction and we are here to troubleshoot and help you with steps to optimize the battery health and ensure you get a full day use of your device and get you to have a seamless experience with the device.
Here are also few troubleshooting steps you can try and see if it makes any changes for the device battery:
1.Enable Optimized Battery Charging Open Settings → Battery → Battery Health & Charging. Toggle on Optimized Battery Charging. This feature slows charging past 80% and finishes charging near your usual unplug time, reducing battery aging
2.Use Low Power Mode When Needed Go to Settings → Battery and switch on Low Power Mode. It reduces background activity, disables automatic downloads, and lowers visual effects to save power. Activate it particularly when your battery drops below 20%
3. Manage Screen and App Settings Adjust screen brightness or enable Auto-Brightness: Settings → Display & Brightness → Auto-Brightness. Control apps running in the background: Settings → General → Background App Refresh → Disable unnecessary apps. Check battery usage per app: Settings → Battery → Battery Usage to identify and limit power-hungry apps
4.Reduce Location and Connectivity Usage Disable Location Services for apps that don’t need it: Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services. Turn off Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or mobile data when not in use, or enable Airplane Mode in low-signal areas to prevent power drain.
5.Keep iOS Updated Ensure your iPhone runs the latest iOS version (currently iOS 26 for iPhone 17 series) as software updates often include battery performance improvements.
6.Charging Best Practices Avoid letting the battery fully discharge frequently; aim to keep the charge between 20%–80% where practical. Use Apple-certified chargers and cables. Fast charging is supported, but optimized battery charging mitigates stress during prolonged charging.
