Happy with the upgrade from 14 Pro to 17 Pro

I’ve had it for a week now, and so far I love it! It’s quite snappy (responsive). The way text appears, is slightly larger than on my 14 pro, (default setting, without modification) which is perfect for me because it’s easier to see / read, without having to go to a larger setting. Not sure if it’s do to the OS or the slightly larger screen. The weight with the aluminum body is a wash, as the larger battery causes the new 17 pro to have an identical weight as my 14 pro. Which is perfectly fine, because you get Much More battery life, Without any additional weight! Fantastic trade off! I do wish there was some way for them to determine (such as your previous iPhone buying history) that this is your 1st USB-C iPhone, so they could also include a new USB-C power brick, so you would not have to incur additional costs after sending $1,100 on a phone. They wouldn’t even need to charge the size of the phone packaging, just throw in a a power brick package in the cardboard box they ship the phone in.
Back to the display, it’s Definitely easier to see / read / watch when outside in the sun. A wonderful improvement!!! My 14 pro was very difficult to see in the sun, & rapidly got hot, which caused the screen to dim very quickly, which made in nearly impossible to read. I can’t report accurately on the heat issue because it’s not a 110 degree Texas summer day, but prior to any dimming issues, it’s absolutely brighter outside. Hopefully when it gets hot again, the vapor chamber & aluminum body will resolve a lot, or all of the heat issues.

As soon as I put it on it cracked?? I’m not sure why. I did not drop the phone or anything. Maybe a defect. I actually heard it snap. I’ve always used top of the line screen savers and they have outlived my phone. I’m baffled, but I still have it on my phone. Basically letting you know in case you have further reports of problems.
