My ring battery only door

My ring battery only door bell kept disconnecting. Every troubleshooting said it should not be doing this. Installed a router on the other side of the door still had issues. Luckily when installing the ring I didn?t cut all the wires. This installed very easy and had all I needed to do the install. I like that it is fairly narrow so it fits between my storm door frame and brick. The image of this is way better than my ring had. I also like that I can wire this in to my existing doorbell. Like ring pushing the doorbell button notifies me someone is at the door and I can answer through the app. What I don?t like is when you are setting up the motion range of this unit there is no image on the app to know what 50% or 100% is. When turning off zones what am I turning off? I don?t know as there is no image to help me. Another good note is if you take a picture of the barcode the app will still scan it by using a tablet or other device and looking at the screen.

This unit is ok for the price. Install is relatively quick, however depending on your location, you will need the wedge kit as there is zero clearance in the back. It would have been nice to include it with the kit, even with a price increase.
The picture quality is decent as well.
The app needs improvement but not a knock on the unit.
Hooked up to nvr with no issues which was one of the main reasons I bought this. Fully integrated with my other cameras.

I have had this since it first came on the market. It was easy to install (although the security screw on the bottom is a pain) and worked easily with my doorbell wiring. It integrated into my existing Lorex software without a hitch and records on my DVR just like the security cams. That said, the wedges should be included in the package, not as a separate option. My front porch light is on a timer, and the doorbell gives a false alarm every time the light switches on or off. The software should give some ability to set the actual zone for motion detection like the cameras do, but only includes a sensitivity setting. The main problem I have is that the camera "sees" part of the sky at all times. During the day, on sunny days, it sets the exposure based on this bright sky segment of the view and this results in faces being so underexposed as to be useless for identification. There should be a way in the software to tell the camera to ignore "sky" by setting zones or to have a backlight compensation so that it's actually useful for identification during daylight hours. If it's aimed so low such that it can't see the sky, it does not see faces of people directly in front of the door.
If you already have a Lorex IP camera system, this doorbell cam integrates quite easily. If not, there are likely better alternatives.

Once installed it is a very nice product and easy to use. Easy to install at the door. The problem i had was in the connection.My wi-fi is good,and i was following step by step instructions,but it took a long time to connect.I will write another rewiew once i install the second door bell.

I got this doorbell due to a number of package thefts in my neighborhood recently. Installation was quick and easy, longest part was finding the right circuit breaker. So far works great, no issues, very happy with it, video quality is great.

I did have some issues at first installing but got those worked out. Real pain if you have to scan that 3d bar code multiple times being you have to take on and off so take a picture of it during the install just in case. One customer in these reviews said was able to get this camera working with existing Lorex DVR but I cannot do that, and do not see anything on how to do this in the manual or quick setup guide. So I do not think this is possible. I think because people buy these as their own doorbell camera and may not have DVR security system it is nice to have a product to stand on its own, and I think it should still work like it currently does but would still like to see it with my monitor on DVR system where the camera can be viewed at anytime from monitor.

Very excited when I got

Very excited when I got my package which included Flood light cam, Door sensor and this Door CAM. Added the components to my existing hub and 8 channel N842. Very easy to install and register the product. However, I was disappointed in the focus on the door cam as 1/2 right side of the image is out of focus and there's no way I can adjust it.

Just installed it today. The image quality is not the best. It says it?s supposed to be 1080p but it seems more like 720p. There is also a visible glare from the protective lense of the camera. I found no way to manually go from night vision to full color. The Audio quality is excellent though. The new app is pretty simple to navigate, I however can not connect my other current Lorex cameras with the new app as it says my system is not compatible..which now requires me to have two separate apps for my Lorex cameras. The installation was pretty simple. I will be needing to get a wedge to angle the doorbell towards more towards my door but that?s going to be different for everyone. All in all the video quality is my biggest disappointment. Other than that it?s a great device.
