The blade should be more near the surface, I have always a good layer frozen and it could be better if the blade pass removing it helping to distribute the cold better

I've only used it once so far to make Rocky Road ice cream, but it was much better than store bought and a lot healthier. Cuisinart makes a lot of ice cream recipe books, so I have a lot of choices in what I make in the future. This a really great add-on to my Cuisinart stand mixer.

I really like this attachment. It works just like they say. I have made both ice cream and frozen fresh fruit deserts and it only took 15-20 min to make! You can eat it right away if you like soft serve or you can throw it in the freezer for a couple hours if you like a harder more frozen dessert.
