I really like this attachment. It works just like they say. I have made both ice cream and frozen fresh fruit deserts and it only took 15-20 min to make! You can eat it right away if you like soft serve or you can throw it in the freezer for a couple hours if you like a harder more frozen dessert. Definitely recommend for anyone who likes frozen treats!

I am generally happy with the ability of the device to freeze ice cream, gelato. My only complaint is that the connection to my mixer does not allow the mixer to lock. As the ice cream freezes, it causes the mixer arm to jump less I hold it down. I need to get a hard silicone or plastic spatula to safely scrape the sides to remove all the ice cream after freezing to avoid scratching the bowl.

I've only used it once so far to make Rocky Road ice cream, but it was much better than store bought and a lot healthier. Cuisinart makes a lot of ice cream recipe books, so I have a lot of choices in what I make in the future. This a really great add-on to my Cuisinart stand mixer.
