SSD and large HDD are a nice combo for partitioning high-perf game needs from the rest of the library. Lots of room to expand RAM making this a solid long-term investment. Runs quiet and haven't had any issues with heat dissipation or fan noise.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Omen 30L replaced a 12 year old Dell that I upgraded to keep it useable. Excellent system is almost "instant on", with NVMe drive is ready in seconds. The 3070 GPU was higher performance than other offerings and supports photography and video manipulation. It is fast and totally silent for my workloads. Upgrading memory to 64 GB was easy -- I love that ability. The only down side with this configuration was no built-in SD card reader.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this gaming desktop for my son as a graduation/birthday gift and he loves it! Came quicker than expected, and packaged extremely well. Out of the box the graphics and speed are amazing. I'm not a tech head, and while this rig might be closer to an entry level setup, I think we got a very good deal for this build.
I bought this pre-made because graphics cards are incredibly hard to find. It was shipped promptly and overall the system is well-designed and appropriately specc'd. There are some small quirks, like the fact that the "sleep mode" entails annoyingly bright breathing white lights on the front panel, but those could easily be remedied with software/firmware updates. I use the desktop primarily for computational work and some light gaming (mostly Valheim) and have not encountered any issues with the hardware.
For some time I have looking to replace my 7-year old desktop computer...and it seems that this OMEN model really fit the bill for what I wanted. I wanted a new technology processor, with lots of memory, a great graphics processor, lots of disk... I am a big Flight Simulation guy and wanted to get the latest and greatest for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, and now I have it ! ! !
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this pc for moderate gaming and everyday use. It has a good graphics card and plenty of storage with a 500 gb SSD and a 1 TB hard drive. My biggest concern with this build is cooling. I am seeing temps of upwards of 85-90c. You kind of have to have the fans running at turbo speed just to keep most games happy. But the trade off is a distractingly loud fan.
