This was a birthday present for my son. He's been over the moon after receiving this computer. It's very fast and he is very happy to play his video games without lag.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased in March 2021 during the GPU shortage. The price of the GPU (RTX 3070), if you could find one, would cost more than half this prebuilt PC. Unit worked straight out of the box and matched the build spec with the exception of actually coming with a larger HDD than what I was expecting (1TB->2TB). I use this for general use plus processing digital photos and videos and for a racing sim. The only time I've had the fans really ramp up and the CPU temperature climb is when post processing a large number of NEF files with DXO PhotoLab. Even then it only takes a few minutes to go through 50 or so pictures. I also run WRC 8 at 2560x1440 100fps with most everything turned up and it's very smooth and while the GPU fans spin up some the CPU stays quiet and I don't consider the noise or temperatures excessive. So far it's been 100% and I consider it a well equipped machine for the price. I did cross shop other machines but few would provide a current generation GPU and this level CPU for this price.
This is my first gaming pc. Very fast processor, great graphics. It works well for me and the games I play. I have had some trouble with the omen command center software not wanting to startup and let me check on the pc specs. Overall happy with my purchase.
Don’t believe you can’t get performance with a system built by HP. I am a streamer and this setup more than handles anything I’ve thrown at it. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. Thanks Omen
I've had this PC for one month, and it's fantastic when it works, but about once a week it will randomly fail. The PC itself keeps running, but the monitors and audio lose connection and go dead. A forced restart allows me to reboot as if nothing happened, but about a week later the phenomenon repeats. It has interrupted meetings and caused problems working.
