I was looking for basically a middle of the road gaming PC and thought it was time to give AMD a second chance. All I can say is I'm glad I did as it beats my 5 year old HP Phoenix i7 extreme
I was debating on either building my own PC or buying a pre-made one. I searched through websites of what I wanted and this fit all my needs. It was also the cheapest option. I decided to buy it and they built it fast and it shipped fast. The customer service team answered all my questions and I am now writing this review on my Hp Omen. It runs perfect. Worked right out the box, Plug and play. I absolutely LOVE IT. Do not sleep on HP omen. It is a beautiful PC and runs great. I could not be happier with my purchase.
Great value for the money. I was going to build my own PC and stumbled across this and the specs came out way better for the same price. Great buy if you're looking into gaming and VR.
Unbelievable fast. While I am still learning features and programs of the OMEN 30 L , I am enjoying how fast it is. The only thing I don't like is having to set up more passwords. I also wish I could have gotten an internal DVD/CD R&W and an internal memory card reader. Once I decide and install phot editing software I'll be able to edit the thousands of photos I need to finish without a lot of lag time between. I am glad I picked the Geforce RTX and a 9th gen processor.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The HP Omen 30L (AMD CPU/GPU version) has wonderful RGB lighting and is powerful for the price, but the cooling is unfortunately "adequate" for the heat generated by the GPU/CPU at load. The CPU heat sink does not cover the die fully. Temps of 85-90 C are typical, even after dust is cleared. Replacing the heatsink means disassembling the whole computer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought for my teen who does sound/video editing and occasional gaming. Bought as an upgrade because video card prices have become astronomical and we only had a $1000 budget.
Pros: Teen loves rainbow settings and clear glass, Ryzen Master and Radeon management tools boost the system performance, one of the best B450 Motherboards for space and cable management, name brand components, good storage upgradeability, limited bloat-ware Cons: No XMP RAM settings, needs 650 watt psu for most video card upgrades, button to release case opening jams and takes 3 to 4 tries,
