[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a <2.4k OMEN setup with a 3080, 16GB RAM, and 500GB SSD. That is basically a steal these days...On the open market, I'd consider myself lucky if I can get a 3080 alone with 2.4k. So for any gamer trying to get a desktop, this is very likely the best choice.
Of course, the hardware works well, and the front light looks cool as well. I can play Cyberpunk on highest settings on 4k, without any issue, and can play Microsoft Flight Simulator with decent quality.
Plus, it comes with a fast usb-c port, which allows me to connect it to Oculus Quest 2 and play Half-Life: Alyx in VR. The performance is also great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would not recommend this machine, and here is why: Takes a very long time to get the machine. My intended use is crypto mining, so it includes an Nvidia RTX 3090 graphics card. The graphics card overheats when run at the lowest settings. I placed a heatsink and two fans on the back of the graphics card, to get the graphics card to work marginally and not violate the warranty. The case fans are running on turbo, and are quite noisy. The cpu has a liquid cooler. The grill on the top of the case does not allow sufficient air flow for the radiator, and is a major cause of the noise.
On the up side, the machine looks nice. And except for the noise and heat issues seems to work well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The price for this was close to what scalpers are charging for just the card, so I figured why not. It's nothing special, but several features and customization options are locked by hp for as far as I can tell no reason. Otherwise a great purchase, works well, just frustrated by lockouts.
