[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced an 8 year old computer that had an i7-3700 processor. This computer with a SSD boot drive and a Ryzen 7 processor is super fast. A couple of things that could be better is more ram slots and maybe a second nvme card connection. Still, an excellent computer.

The unit was made on time and perfectly to spec. I was concerned that because some People think of this as a gaming machine and I was worried it would look flashy with all the lights. I keep the lights at the factory setting and they look fine. The unit looks dignified. I purchased a better keyboard but I knew I would have to do that before I purchased the unit. I added a few more goodies than I needed just in case I got the old

I was able to upgrade the ram at home with similar stock and the 3070 card is a wonder so far. There is a bit of bloat ware but not horrible and overall performance for everyday tasks is amazing but I definitely haven't put the system to its paces yet with gaming.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this to upgrade from my old i5 Pavilion laptop, it's such a night and day difference in performance that I am utterly blown away. I'm really not that much of a gamer, but the few I do play have seen very significant improvements. Currently I play Rocket League pretty frequently. Went from ~30fps at the lowest settings to maxing out the allowed fps (250fps) in game with any or all features enabled. Games aside, everything about this computer is fast. From rendering complex web pages to even just booting up. I have had some minor issues with USB ports not waking up with the rest of the computer coming out of sleep mode and I am a bit annoyed that HP uses a proprietary motherboard that does not allow for any kind of adjustments in the BIOS, including setting clock speeds for aftermarket RAM upgrades.
The good:
