My OMEN 30L functions as advertised and came a week early. While playing an old real time strategy game (Red Alert 2), I noted that the transition to a new battle is very quick. I believe this to be from my new CPU and the SSD that came with this computer. I think this is one of the best looking desktops available. I would have preferred a larger power supply (500 Watt) and a DVD drive, but the OMEN 30L as I configured it is very capable at the price I paid. My wife and I expect many happy hours on this computer.

Unfortunately, we were expecting better VR performance from a machine at this price point. The much hyped Geforce 2080 Ti is not living up to the expectations we had for it. Overall, this machine is giving us marginally better performance over the six year old machine it is replacing. The machine does look great though, if that were anything I cared about then I would be happy with this purchase.

Overall I'm very happy with the OMEN 30L desktop ( intel i7-10700K, 8gb ram and 1tb ssd). HP was very responsive and professional when I communicated via chat to inquire when my computer will be mailed and it arrived a week before the expected date that was posted. I added 32 GB of Kingston Hyperx 3200 DDR4 RAM after I got the machine and the desktop recognized it without any issues. I primarily use it for teaching, data analysis, editing 4K videos for education, for photos and being online. I use a 32" monitor at 2560 x 1440 and the screen display is also smooth and sharp. It is fast, quiet and so far am very satisfied with the performance and my only quibble would be the documentation for upgrading the machine could be better and more clear. On the whole this is an excellent Desktop.

I’ve had this computer for a couple of weeks now and it does not disappoint. Overall it’s really good but if you have the money than I suggest adding another 8 gigs of ram onto the computer but other than that it’s great!
