The slots are too small for most breads. You have to push them into the slot, & then they don’t pop out. The spring action is weak. It toasts unevenly & leaves toasted stripes. Not worth the price or Cuisinart name. Don’t buy this product.

We wanted a nice toaster that would handle bagels, since they are wider thank regular bread or English muffins. The Cuisinart does just that. I like the setting and the ease of use of the machine.

Toaster doen't toast evenly. One side of the bread is is usually much darker that the other. However, bagels are perfect.

Better than the last two other brands I've owned, but still not quite the perfect toaster for me. Not sure why, but most of the modern toasters seem to have a problem knowing when the toast is perfect for my taste on a specific setting. The excuse is that different breads toast differently. Maybe I wasn't paying attention all those years ago, but it seems like my old toasters did better, no matter what the bread.
