purchased a Cuisinart because of the brand reputation. The unit works fine, but the placement of the electrical cord in the front of the toaster is very odd. I would question the design of this element.

You don’t need to adjust the dial pass 3, it will burn your bread just fine on this setting.

This is no doubt the world's worst toaster! I purchased this toaster based on the brand name. I have several other Cuisinart Products and they are far above average in every
way. This one far below standard. Must unplug after each use. Never heard of such.

Cuisinart toaster is the perfect size for the counter. Two features that nudged me to give it a try......crumb pull out drawer and toaster rack lift; meaning you do not burn your fingers trying to get your toast out, the rack lifts up from the push down nob which I found most toasters in this price range did not offer. Raising the toaster rack is not a smooth action, but it works and so I can recommend this item to anyone using it for standard bread size (length), bagel, etc. If you use the round breads the cuts will be too long, but cut bread slices in half and works just fine.

The toaster works well. It can toast evenly although that can vary with the item being toasted. The frozen bagel I toasted this morning was darker at the top than the bottom. It is stylish and looks good on the countertop. The sole complaint is that the darkness setting is very temperamental. Set it to '2' and the toast can be too light, '3' and too dark. I would never try the max setting.

A fantastic looking toaster that toasts everything from bagels to toaster pastries perfectly. The easy to use settings get you the lightness or darkness desired. We are so pleased with it's performance!
