This toaster shames the Cuisinart name! The first one burned the bottom of the toast on the 2-3 setting. Full 3, was worse. Also, only the inner elements toasted; the outside elements seemed to just warm and slightly dry. They replaced it (3 wks) and I received it yesterday (2/13) It doesn't burn as bad, but has the same problem with not toasting the outside. When re-toasting (turning bread) then the whole things is way over done. Did Conair downgrade the quality?

Out of the box, it toasted unevenly. After a month, it's like half of the heating elements don't even work.

I bought a new toaster because my old one was not heating evenly so I bought anew cuisinart thinking it would be better and it’s not. This one doesn’t brown evenly either. One side browns while the other side does not. I am very disappointed in this product.

I was very happy that Cuisinart replaced a defective toaster for me without a lot of ado. They made good on their product. I must say I am impressed with the process of getting the toaster replaced that, after 5 months, stopped working. This was unusual for Cuisinart and they did send me a new toaster. I would recommend their products to anyone who is looking.

Toaster is adequate and lightweight. I have noticed that it toasts one side more than the other, It takes a very light touch to press the start lever, to which I reserve judgment whether this is a fault that foreshadows it will break easily. Three year warranty is a plus. Overall, does what I want it to do till I get their highly rated toaster oven.

It simply doesn’t work. It was touchy when we first started using it, and now, just 2 weeks later, the bread brackets will not click in the down position so the bread will not toast. Don’t buy one. We’ve trashed ours - would not even give it Goodwill.
