The slots are wide enough for thick slices and bagels, but one side of the bread gets nice and brown but the other side is not toasted at all so it is necessary to reverse sides to get both sides of the bread toasted

Very dissatisfied with this purchase. Bread toasts on one side only and we have to flip it to toast the other side. We had a Cuisinart toaster previously that we loved but this is a disappointment and we won't buy another one.
