This is a lightweight, straightforward product that toasts evenly and has all of the functions we need. We particularly like the “reheat” button, which allows you to toast a little bit more without forgetting it and burning the toast. We had the same one for several years and had to replace it because the handle started to malfunction.

I like the ability to pull up the finished item with the lever in order to be able to take it out easily. What I don't like are 2 items: when you push down on the start lever, the toaster destabilizes and leans toward you in an unsafe manner and secondly, when I use the toaster right away again, the finished product does not finish as dark as the first use and the items toasted are the same in both cases. Surprising for a Cuisinart!

I found that the toasting was not uniform. One side pale, the other about right. Turning and redoing was not satisfactory. I returned the unit, and replaced with another, same model. The performance of the second unit was identical. It was returned and replaced with a KitchenAid.

This two-slice toaster meets our needs. Toasts well. We toast mostly bread and bagels. We've been satisfied with the results. It is white plastic, but it is both attractive and compact. A good basic toaster!
