I bought this to replace our old toaster. It worked great for about 4 weeks then it will only toast on one side. So you toast your bread on one side turn it around and toast other side.

I purchased the 2 slice toaster for our RV after being very satisfied with my four slice Cuisinart toaster that I have for my home, however, I am not satisfied with the 2 slice toaster. The heating element does not toast evenly and I have to toast most items twice on the highest setting. I did contact Cuisinart customer service.

Thank you for this request for a review. I have contemplated writing to YOU. I have a problem with my toaster. One side of the bread is too brown, while the other side is not toasted enough. I have adjusted the temp knob several times but get the same result. I would really like to exchange it, if possible. I will answer the questions below in view of my comment here. I bought the unit about 3 months ago and would not buy another. The toasting is uneven and comes out different if you compare bread slices placed in each slot.
All the manufacture needs to do is adjust the wires in each slot correctly and the unit would work properly. They will not but can adjust the wires consistently to obtain an even toasting when it is built. This is not rocket science.

I really like Cuisnart products, however this toaster will only toast if you turn it to the hottest setting, then you have to toast the bread some more. I am definetly not satisfied with this toaster.

Kept two weeks then returned. Two vertical grids on both outside panels never turned red. Inside of both bread slices turned black.
Did like compactness and the fact outside of toaster did not heat up.

For those consumers who find evenly toasted bread boring and predictable, this toaster is for you! There’s no telling how much Cuisinart spent on research and development to make a toaster that only toasts on one side. It’s not really a problem, except for the burned fingers, if you interrupt the cycle and flip the slice halfway through the toasting process.

Finding that the toaster isn't toasting evenly. It toasts the top of the bread faster than the bottom. Also, the slots are not really designed for bagels even though it says it is. Too narrow. Almost double the price of what I could have bought at the big box stores. Never buying another appliance online if I can help it.
