Nice size and wide openings but the temperature setting has to be on 3 out of 7 to not over toast bread. The bagel setting still seems to over beat the outside

Just what I wanted- a simple toaster that made toast! No frills, no thrills- you can count on a good piece of toast. The shell is a little cheapish.

I bought this toaster because of Wirecutter's recommendation, which is usually reliable. Sadly, my toaster consistently overcooks one side of the bread while undercooking the other, no matter which number I set it on. This happens with whole wheat bread, sourdough, bagels, you name it. My old Oster was much more dependable.
