Uneven toasting with higher moisture bread like sourdough. The bagel setting appears to cook the slice side the same level as the top and bottom of the bagel. 3 stars is the best I can give.

This toaster doesn’t toast evenly on both sides, no matter which slot is used, so one side is barely toasted at all, and the other side is verging on just a hair from being burnt. I’m not happy with it, but am keeping it because it’s small and compact, fits well on my limited counter space, and I don’t eat very much toast. There’s no point in looking for another one, no matter the brand or price, because from the many toaster reviews I’ve read, all of the newer toasters are the same - not very good. It’s because of the newer materials and technology used to make them. I gave it a 3-star, middle-of-the -road review because it’s not great but it does toast - sort of.
