The slice of bread comes out a bit even, one side darker (side facing center) than the other. Adjust and expect one side to be very light. Toaster looks nice, easy to depress lever, and has easily identifiable setting knob and buttons.

This toaster is outstanding. At the #1 level, the toast is just warm. At the #2 level it is lightly golden. The levels really work! My AM peanut butter on toast just melts. Delicious!

This toaster does not toast both sides of the bread in one slot. I should have returned it. It does not live up to the reputation of the Cusinart brand.
