hot water system is quick but i don't see myself using it that often.
as for the coffee drip capacity: I have the thermal carafe which is wonderful but pouring in the water has to be done with another cup. also missing is the "robust" function which was nice. the fit and finish on the lid (on the coffee side) is bent and does not sit level...just the one that I got.
it's a good simple machine.

The coffee maker works great; the thermos keeps coffee warm and fresh-tasting for several hours. It was a little tricky at first filling the coffee maker with water without spilling some of it, but it’s easier now. The hot water feature is great for tea, cocoa or oatmeal; but, I haven’t used it as much as I thought I would. My only issue is that the water still has a slight plastic taste. I’ve run fresh water through it several times, but the plastic taste is still noticeable.

works great, just the right size for our small office. hot water system is convenient for the tea and hot chocolate drinkers. easy to use and clean. best feature is the thermal carafe, as it keeps the coffee hot without burning the oils in the coffee and creating that "old, burnt coffee" taste!

Why would a warming plate be installed in a product that goes off when the coffee finishes brewing? They depend on the thermal caraffe, which is ok, but if i have a warming plate i want it to work! I should have bought a Bunn
