Overall a solid coffee maker. Flavor is not as good as traditional pour over coffee but a good option when I want a pot ready when I wake up. Definitely tops a traditional drip coffee maker.

We always enjoy a good cup of coffee. However, when traveling we are usually "stuck" with drip coffee. Recently we spend five days at an air bng which had the Cuisinart Pour-Over Brewer. We were so pleased to actually have very good coffee each morning. Consequently when we returned home we simply had to buy one. Pour-over coffee is good, but challenging when there is a group of coffee drinkers. The brewer takes care of the problem. We are very happy with our selection.

I bought this coffee maker to make my first cups of coffee in the morning using the automatic turn-on feature. I had bought an espresso machine a few months earlier, but I found that I missed being able to have a fresh brew made for me when I woke up. I owned a similar version of this machine with a thermal carafe a few years earlier and was very happy with the quality of coffee but found the coffee temperature to cool to quickly and the pour tended to dribble a bit. This machine makes very good coffee, similar to my predecessor-maker and the hot plate time can be set to keep the coffee warm for 90 minutes (more than ample). The instruction booklet is very good and helpful is getting the controls set up correctly for auto turn-on time. The carafe does not dribble and is marked for 8 small cups of coffee but I find that after about 3 cups that the carafe is close to empty, but this is not a problem and more about my coffee cup size. Coffee quality is very satisfying and I am happy with this purchase.

I have tried a number of drip coffee makers over the years (including all Cuisinart models) and have have all been good, functional machines. But I have found that this pour over machine easily produces the most flavor of any drip machine I have used. I was initially concerned that the eight cup carafe was too small but as the only coffee drinker in the house I have found it to be just fine and I wonder if the tapered design helps to keep the coffee’s flavor?
The only drawback is the there is an automatic shutoff after two hours with no adjustment to lengthen to three or four hours like other models. It’s just a convenient setting the other models have. A small nitpick.
