This coffee maker is very stylish, easy to use, and makes a great pot of coffee. The carafe is high quality and keeps coffee hot for hours. However, the screws used within the water compartment at the top are corroding after less than a month of use and releasing rust particles into the unit. Why noncorrosive fasteners such as stainless steel were not used in this environment is puzzling given the quality of other components of the unit. Not pleased and don't expect this unit to last ten years as my last Cuisinart coffee did, which is prompted me to buy another Cuisinart. (I have a picture but unable to post here.) Can't recommend this unit until the fastener issued it corrected.

This coffee maker does all the work of the pour over process for you with just the touch of a button-resulting in a fresh, delicious cup of coffee! Definitely the best we’ve ever had. We grind the beans fresh each morning. I like the “extra hot” and “bold” settings because I like the flavor of coffee and it allows for me to add creamer and still have hot coffee. The carafe keeps the coffee pretty hot for a few hours, though it’s definitely hotter the sooner you pour it after it’s made. The coffee does pool a little at the top of the lid, but a quick wipe off will allow for a less messy pour. I would highly recommend this machine!

An almost daily user, the coffee taste is superior to the drip method. Be aware the capacity is only 8 cups. It's geared toward quality, not quantity as many of the drip makers are. It's a French Press quality drink that is brewed. Be aware that there is no heating element under the carafe so if you're going to make more than what you need, for drinking a little later or taking the pot outside, get the thermal carafe not the glass. And by the way, it is an excellent heat preserving carafe. I've drank a subsequent cup hours later and it was still hot.

I am on my second carafe lid. Both leak. Even got a replacement carafe from Cuisinart. Still leaks. Very disappointing.

The longer I use it the less I like it. The only good thing is it hotter than others when brewed, but if the whole pot is not used at once it does not stay hot long. Do not like shape or function of the pot. I am about ready to give it Good Will and get out my old one.

We are very particular about our coffee. We love pour overs, but find them time-consuming when we want several cups. This coffee maker has been a great surprise! It makes a super pot of coffee with a pour over experience. Job well done Cuisinart!
