[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The selling point was you wont see any cables in the back because it is flush mounted you pay for this feature and unless all outlets are recessed it isnt possible. The tv constantly has to.update and the picture isnt that much better for the prive you pay.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a few months of considering several different models of TVs I am very happy that I got the 77 inch OLED LG GX.
The colors are great, especially the blacks!
Mounting the TV took two people and was a bit difficult since our wall studs were a bit far apart. However it took about one hour to install and was not too bad.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great features with excellent color. It mounts flat to the wall giving it a movie theatre like appearance.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this 77" LG OLED77GXPUA UHSTV to replace our 10 year old 65" Panasonic TC-P65VT plasma HDTV. BIG improvement in brightness and black level, 4K vs. 2K resolution (although very little 4K content). EPA estimated power consumption reduced from $100 to $38 annually... AND the plasma used to heat up our living room since the plasma used a lot more power.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First and foremost, the image quality is amazing. I love how thin it is, and having it mounted flat to the wall (though I do with the included mount could come out a bit more). I really liked the use of cable management, that is built into the back of the TV too.
The 'gallery' app really does convince you that you're looking at a painting, because of the sharp colors and the deep blacks. Unfortunately, the images switch very often, and ruins running it full time (and you can't turn off the music). I understand why though, to avoid burn in. I just wish it could stay a bit longer.
The big negatives, and I almost dropped it two stars for this... the 'alexa' support, and the terrible customer support/lack of updates. Just google 'alexa' and the LG GX series. If you choose to accept all the agreements, when setting up, and you 'try' alexa, you will always have alexa unless you reset your whole TV. You can sign out of the alexa app, but any time it thinks you, OR A COMMERCIAL says 'alexa', it will stop what you're watching, and try answering you (or start the alexa setup process). I'm not even suggesting it's amazon's commercials doing this. It literally detects 'alexa' from random conversations, where the word was not spoken. People have been begging for a software update, to disable this through the menu. When I contacted customer service, they informed me I needed to factory reset the TV. After I told them that was an unacceptable solution, they tried having my change regions on the TV, which triggered resetting the license agreements. I thought that would solve it, but no... in walks Alexa again! They then wanted me to start sending my serial numbers, which I felt was starting a pointless process. I just bit the bullet, and reset my TV. As a software developer myself, it boggles my mind why they won't put in a simple menu option. Until this is resolved, I will not be recommending this TV to anyone, despite how much I love it otherwise.
Side note: Don't expect to watch HBO Max on this TV. For some reason, there is no LG support yet
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this TV several months ago. Had to wait almost a month to have it installed and by that time the 30 day return policy had expired. The picture is great. The remote needs additional features such as an exit button and a guide button. It is difficult to navigate.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been reading about the beauty of OLED TVs for a number of years, which left me pining for one of my own. I told my spouse that when we move to our new home, this TV was going to happen, and it did.
What an amazing instrument. The colors are deep and vibrant and sharp from almost any angle. The unit fits so flush against the wall that people tend to miss it completely if it is not on when they enter the room.
The gallery function provides a lovely additional to the large amount of art already hanging in our new home. My 4K devices have never looked better, especially the Aerial option on my Apple TV. In fact, when we previewed the new 4K version of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, I thought it looked better than when I saw the original theatrical release in the 80s.
I would highly recommend this set to anyone looking for a more theatrical experience to their television viewing. It is exceptional!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my OLED55GXPUA for two weeks, this is my first LG product. The set up was quite easy for a non tech guy like myself. The sound is surprisingly good for suck a thin TV. The only negative I have os the remote, it could be a lot better each button was back lit.
