The TV replaces a plasma tv. I hated to give up my plasma but it was at its end of life. This oled is amazing. I am very pleased and don't miss the plasma. The 5.1 sound bar is also amazing. Mounting bracket needs improvement.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of the best! The TV I had before this LG was one of the best plasma TVs they made! They used it to rate everything else until the oled came out. I’ve had my new LG Lled 77 GXPUA a little over a month and it was the best TV I’ve ever had. Setting right against the wall where art pictures look excellent.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality of the picture is stunning. So much so that I'm rewatching movies I hadn't given much thought to in a long time. Unearthing old sci-fi shows has been especially fun. For instance, starfields now display in the manner the filmmakers intended, and the colors are vibrant without being oversaturated. I thought the remote was going to be a sore point but it's actually far better than expected. It is cheap feeling but given this one remote controls the TV and my soundbar volume is fantastic. The smart features are also a big plus, taking the 3 remotes required before (TV, soundbar and the Xbox for streaming services) to just this one. I love it. Cons are minimal. First is the maximum size. 77" is healthy but I'd still prefer 85" so it's a wee bit smaller than I'd like. Second: the smart features are not intuitive and there appears to be two different screens with similar features and I haven't really figured out what's what yet. Third is the screensaver; the small spray of glitter is fine, but having a paragraph below it pointing out the obvious (This is a screensaver and to hit a button to return to regular viewing) is obnoxious. What's missing is an 85" version and some customizable features like personal screensaver effects. None of the cons or what's missing makes me regret purchasing this set though.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Performance, Quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been looking to upgrade my 50" plasma to a 65" OLED for some time and I am glad I waited. The picture is incredible and it couldn't be any thinner. The blacks are black and the colors are vivid. Plus, the included mount makes the unit flush against the wall.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The TV itself functions exactly as hoped and the picture is phenomenal. My only complaint is the unit I received isn't perfectly flat. The bottom left corner sits out from the wall perhaps a half inch, whereas the other corners are flush. Double-sided tape helps, but after a few days the TV inevitable pops back out. I'm the only one who notices, but since I paid more for the Gallery series I expected truly flush mount.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our old tv was 15 years old. This LG tv is amazing.
Three minor knocks-
1. The mounting guide is confusing and not very helpful. I would recommend getting a professional to mount the television.
2. The sound is just ok. I ordered an external speaker, but it didn’t arrive for a few weeks. So, I watched tv for a while with the internal speaker. It’s ok, but once the external speaker arrived, HUGE improvement.
3. The remote. It’s fine, but not programmable. I have DirecTV, and do not have access to some of the functions using the LG remote.
THE TELEVISION ITSELF IS FANTASTIC. It looks amazing, and after adjusting the settings a bit, I am in heaven.
Pros: Style/Design, Performance, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OLED was absolutely the way to go, and this thin design allows the TV to either be the feature of the room or seamlessly blend into the background. After doing a fair amount of research, I went with the G series not only for the build but for the latest technology that is included, which allows easy integration with our home theater system (Sonos, Alexa) and also provides the best 'future-proofing' available to take advantage of technology coming out in the coming years. My only regret is not convincing my wife that the 75" would have fit just fine on our wall.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this unit to replace a competitor’s 65” plasma set (one of the very last). The picture looks the crisp, the most detailed and the best color balance of all units in the same price range.
