Amazing Laptop With Proper Expectations

The 8GB of ram and 256GB of storage aren't mind blowing, but are definitely capable of handling your day to day activities without concern. There is expandable memory via the MicroSD card slot. Also, I have many of my documents saved to cloud storage so that isn't a concern because of the Always Connected LTE feature.
The 13.3" 1080p screen is clear and bright. I have been able to use it outside comfortably.
It comes with two speakers on the side, tuned by AKG, which are nice and loud. Since they are on the sides, media with stereo separation sounds great which is an added bonus especially when watching movies. There is a Dolby Atmos app which makes the sound profile a little more dynamic and adds some additional volume.
On each side of the laptop there is a USB-C port which can be used for charging as well as connecting peripherals. If you have regular USB-A devices like external hard drives, there is am adapter included.
Battery life on the Galaxy Book S is incredible. On average, I've been getting through two days of work with a little bit of juice still left in the tank. This is mainly due to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx processor. This is a double edged sword if you don't know what you are getting into. This processor makes great battery life and LTE connectivity possible, but because it is an ARM based processor the Windows experience is not typical. Not all programs are built for this type of processor which can be a problem . All this in a 2 pound package is well worth it for me though. Everything I need for work runs just fine and you can install web apps via Microsoft Edge or Chrome to create an app like experience for things like Netflix, Google Play, and Stadia.
There are only three concerns I had.
1) I like having Photoshop, but I don't use it often anymore and I did find an app alternative that suits most of my needs.
2) I occasionally play games which this is definitely not built for. I started using Google Stadia with this computer, which works surprisingly well, but has its own limits.
3) The keyboard takes some getting used to. The key strokes are shallow and the backlighting isn't phenomenal, but after a week of use I'm almost 100% comfortable using it.

As long as you know the limitations with an ARM processor this always connected laptop is the perfect blend of portability and productivity.

My new favorite toy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my new Samsung Galaxy Book S! It has a lightning quick processor. It is very sleek in design and not clunky like some other laptops. When you’re on the go this will not let you down, it will go all day long on a full charge. It is also super convenient with it having touch screen, so you can either go the way of touch screen or the more traditional keyboard. I have zero complaints about this device, Samsung hit it out of the park with this one. Definitely a five star product!

My Galaxy book is is so thin and so light. Easy to carry. The set up was beyond easy to set it. Literally talks you through everything you need to do. Picture quality is just perfect when I am steaming my shows and doing my online classes . No lag and so fast. I can't wait to dig into this some more so excited to see what's next. It's been about a month and I keep falling in love with my Galaxy book. The storage is great for all the shows and movies I save while I am out an about. Its so light I often forget it's in my bag. the processor is so great. I usually have too many tabs at once because of my classes and because I think I will need the tabs at a later date even though I never actually do, but with the galaxy book S I have experienced no lag which is probably my favorite feature.

Excellent device

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we got this for my husband to use for school work. He's been using every day for school and loves it. It runs really fast and he loves the ability to seamlessly transition between the TouchPad and touch screen. The screen responds like a tablet but it still functions like a laptop. The battery has been lasting about a week with several hours of use a day. The processer allows web pages to load quickly and handle all the research quickly. It's light enough to be carried around and used anywhere but still feels sturdy. Crystal clear screen makes videos vibrant and they sound great too.

The Power of a Laptop The Size of a Tablet

I am blown away by the power of this thin, light system! I love being able to bring it with me to do my work on the go – without even feeling like I have it with me. This is the first time I have felt comfortable using my laptop on an airplane. And with no big block charger, even the cord is light to transport. I can bring it with me, and use it without it being cumbersome. While this is not a gaming laptop by any means, it does handle 32 bit games well. It doesn’t get hot and it is very quiet. This is my new go-to travel laptop. It goes everywhere with me!

Such a Great Experience in a Laptop!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in love with this Galaxy Book S. It has a simple layout, easy to use platform that is super quick. It boots up fast and has an awesome fingerprint security log in. I can also choose a security pin or password if I didn't want my fingerprint. It was easy to set up and install applications. The integration to my Samsung Galaxy S9+ is flawless. I get messages, pictures, notifications simultaneously and I can even screenshare directly to my computer. The display is crystal clear and the touch screen works perfectly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Extremely impressed with how quick and light this thing is. As someone who normally carries a laptop and tablet when away from my desktop, I can definitely see myself lightening my bag and just carrying the Samsung Galaxy Book S. The screen is gorgeous and my apps and videos look awesome on this thing. It can run all of the software that I use daily and has enough memory and storage for my needs. Additionally, with the USB-C port, I only need to carry around 1 cable and I know I have the flexibility to move files quickly with it as well.
From unboxing it and then really putting some use on this, I can honestly say, I am in love!

High Performance and Higher Quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great laptop. Cant express how light, easy and efficient it truly is. I had previously been using a Lenovo and this is light years better. The battery life is amazing and the computer is lightweight yet sturdy. I am and have always been a Samsung phone user and the synchrony is great! Cant say enough good about this computer.
