The griddle does not stay hot when in use. I used it to cook pancakes. I heated it up as instructed. I left it open to cook pancakes after it got hot. It cooled off to quickly.

How can you not love this little griddler. I use mine only to make paninni and quesadillas and grilled sandwiches. It heats up quickly, cooks quickly, and is a breeze to wash the removable plates with a little soap and water and a sponge. The price is good and it does not take up a lot of counter space in our small kitchen.
