Super cool watch

I've only had this for a few days but it's everything I need. I can read texts, track all kinds of work outs. The solar really sold me on this one, I'm outside all the time so this is great for keeping the watch charged while I'm out. The GPS is cool, but I can see if you want more mapping features this will leave you wanting. Rugged and easy to use.

Excellent GPS Watch! Great Battery Life!

I've been wearing my Garmin Instinct Solar 24/7 for two months. I've only plugged it in to charge it 3 times so far. I use it to track my NYC commute by eScooter (in Cycling Mode) each day. It has helped me find the most efficient route from GCS to my workplace and back. I actually cut close to a mile off my route and found better maintained streets using the map that the Connect Report gives me after each ride. It's fun to look at the data and see if I can beat my best times for each leg of my commute. I also love the Sleep Tracking and Stress Tracking features. It took a while for me to get the hang of the menu, but there are plenty of helpful tutorials on YouTube. I was considering the Fenix 6x but this watch has all the features that I need and more. If you are on the fence about buying this watch, get it! It's a great product. My girlfriend wears an Apple Watch and she's a little jealous of all the cool features that Garmin has packed into the Instinct Solar.

I like this watch a whole lot. I used to have an Apple Watch, but with my lifestyle I enjoy this Instinct more. I recently kayaked and the GPS capabilities were very neat to see distance and other measurements of my journey including trail mapping. The reason why I gave it a 9/10 is because I am unable to receive text/iMessages yet from iPhone on my watch. I have looked through all resources online and consulted several friends who have the same issue. One friend does receive iMessages but my settings are the exact same and we tried every combination of turning off/on re sync everything. I will need to contact Garmin about it. Awesome and comfortable watch with great capabilities!

Garmin Instinct Solar

I have been using the Garmin Instinct Solar for the last several months now. I have greatly enjoyed it thus far. I do not use all the day in day out fitness features, but the sleep tracking is great. I love that the battery last almost forever. I recently went on a weekend bike packing trip and had my map up and tracked my ride up to 8 hours each day and I still have half a battery. I also hate going for my evening bike rides on my local trails and forgetting my bike computer. Now I don't have that issue. It seems to be just as accurate as my Garmin 520 on my rides, runs, and hikes.

Great watch, tough learning curve

Great watch, great features. Except it's missing rock climbing as a sport to track which seems odd. Also it takes some lessons from YouTube to understand how to use. There is a learning curve.

Game changer

Especially for walking, running and hiking. For me, it helps to have a visual representation of your route with mile, pace, calories, elevation, etc. when paired with the app you can record all of your progress and it's helped me take my workouts to the next level.
Battery life is astonishing. Depending on features you are using at a time I've had it last a couple weeks between charges. Apple Watch as I understand is a nightly charge.
The face is extremely customizable and I'm still finding new features to this day that I use and love.
The vibration alarm is way better than the loud sound from a phone and sleep monitoring is helpful.
Could not recommend this watch enough for someone looking for these types of features.

Greatest watch ive ever owned

All the information you need on your wrist without having any of the social media that's loaded onto my phone. I live in Heber city which is just 20 minute from park city Utah so knowing the elevation is key to my lifestyle, after wearing this watch and following my heart rate closely I've achieved an average resting heart rate of 38bpm.
