Instinct Solar rocks.

Coming from my Venu, I have been super happy with the Instinct Solar so far. I mean, it's got the Solar capability which isn't a must have but I really enjoy the vibe of the watch. The Venu wasn't really for me since it was too small on my wrist (I'm 6'3"). So far, very happy.

I haven't had this watch for week yet and now that the app is up and connected I really like it. If It does what is suppose to for years to come ill be very happy. I've talked to people who have garmins for at least 4 years and they're happy with their watches

solar is new to me and it didn't disappoint me.no more thinking of charging as where I live there is plenty of solar energy.getting use to the watch as i was suuntu user too.all info I need is there...

Fantastic battery life and customization

I had given up on these type watches because I hated having to charge it all the time. With the Instinct Solar it’s maybe once a month with the typical things I use daily on the watch. Also appreciate the way you can customize what you want to see for multiple uses, especially daily use.

Bought this for days I want to have a lighter watch than my fenix 5x. Great battery life and very comfortable. Does everything I want it to. Wish it had better digital display but that’s about it.

AMAZING battery life

This was a replacement for an older garmin and I had no intention of even looking at other brands. This is a great watch! the interface is really clean (note, this does not have touch screen capabilities like some of the other Garmin smart watches). I like the ability to customize which sports I want on the watch. It saves me time scrolling through the lists when I want to set it to hiking or kayaking.
The main feature of this watch is obviously the solar charging. Being a nerd, I set the watch in the sun with some solar panels and a pyranometer (tool for measuring solar radiance). I was very pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of the watch as well as its relative accuracy in measuring solar intensity. That said, the watch face is currently flawless. I am curious to see how the charging efficiency changes over time with the inevitable scratches that happen in the backcountry. But, so far, so good!
