Great functionality, intuitive to use, solar charging works very well, easy to pair with a smartphone.

Love tracking my versatile activities (Run, bike, SUP, hike, walk, and snow sports), sleep, and health. The battery life is awesome- it lasted my marathon training and race with full GPS and notifications on! One change- I wished it paired with iPhone for pay and text reply though!

Excellent GPS watch

This watch is great. I use it mainly for GPS tracking biking, skiing, and hiking, but it has plenty of other handy features (weather, compass, altimeter, barometer, step tracking, moon phase, etc.) Battery life is plenty long (I end up charging about once a week, but the watch isn't dead at that point, just starting to get low)

Comfortable watch with a lot of features

I am hard on my gear. I am outside training dogs, horses, hunting, and exercising most of every day and need something to withstand the trials of the day. This watch has held up great with great battery life (with the solar boost). Syncs well to the phone app (vitals, exercise, sleep, and text/notifications/calls) as well as syncs to nutrition log apps. I use the GPS regularly in the woods and I will soon be purchasing a hunting dog track and train collar and am excited to sync it up for the woods! My only complaint is that the charging cord almost immediately started working intermittently and can be finicky. Luckily the battery life is so good that it is not a huge problem, but could be improved upon. It would also be helpful if the product came with a little more instruction on how to use rather than having to look up youtube.

Back to the consistency of Garmin

I've been wearing the Apple Watch for the past couple of years. It is nice, but I really have appreciated more running/sleep data and longer battery life of the Garmin Instinct Solar. Since most of my running has been early morning or late at night, I really haven't seen the benefit of the solar features, so maybe I didn't need that functionality? But who knows when that will come in handy, right?!?

Basic outdoor watch

I wanted a basic, rugged outdoor watch with plenty of features. I have a Garmin 245 for running and didn't want the expense of the Fenix. This fits the bill for times when I'm out for longer periods without service and don't want to worry about charging my battery. The solar aspect didn't seem to make a huge difference in overall battery life. The power conservation features are great, and they are easy to customize and turn on and off. I like the dual display on the screen. The elevation was reliable in some places, but has done strange things in others. Running beside Lake Michigan, my watch suddenly recorded me thousands of feet below sea level...deeper than the lake itself. If you need advanced VO2 measurements and respiration, you'll need to upgrade, but this was perfect for tracking hikes, basic runs, keeping track of sunset time, and vitals like pulse and oygen levels. I have a medium sized wrist for a woman and it fits very comfortably for everyday wear. The buttons work the same as my 245, so I can move between watches without learning a new one. The purple color is greyer than expected, but nicely neutral. A good basic outdoor watch.

Watch is super comfortable and durable. I wear it at work as well and have held up to wet conditions no problem. All around a great upgrade from my previous garmin watch.
