Great features and long lasting battery experience thanks to its solar screen.

I received this as an exchange for a defective Instinct I sent back a couple of months ago. This refurbished picks up the GPS signal in my forested neighborhood with ease! The old Instinct wouldn’t pickup for a half mile from where I started. I still haven’t figured out how to have Sri announce my percentage of heart rate and average speed like the old one.. This new Instinct has been really great for my training.

I've had the watch for two weeks now and love how it tracks my health, from heart rate, stress, sleep and activity. I just retired and wanted to try to encourage myself to become more active. The Instinct Solar has! I check the Garmin Connect app a couple of times a day to see how much and the quality of my sleep, check my steps, and monitor my heart rate and stress levels. I love it so much I bought my wife a Garmin Venu so she can monitor her activity!

Cluttered and bulky

Returned even after getting a smoking black Friday deal and that say a lot.
Heavy, bulky and noticable on wrist.
Watch designed with permanent circular data insert in top right corner. Gets in the way of everything, especially mapping.
Great battery life, but solar was useless as watch spends most of its time under sleeve or jacket. I don't run or recreate with my wrist positioned to maximize solar charging.
Too many other quirks and negatives to outweigh positives and opted for a similar priced, non solar, Garmin forerunner 945 instead.
