Garmin is the gold standard!

I’ve had my Garmin Instinct Solar for a while and I absolutely love it. It has the right amount of tech while still keeping it simple. And the battery life is unmatched by anything other watch with these features(24/7 heart rate monitor, GPS, weather, notifications and calendar). I wear my Garmin every day and wouldn’t trade it for anything.
And they have some of the best customer service I’ve ever seen. All in all, Garmin is the gold standard as far as I’m concerned.

Pros & Cons - A LOT TO LOVE

I enjoy my watch a lot overall. Although, I question it's accuracy. The sleep measure is definitely inaccurate. The heart rate might be fair. I love that it charges solar and I do not need to charge it everyday; in fact, I have not charged it since I got it 2 months ago. Keep in mind, I work outside. However, the display for the battery's length of time is not accurate. It can say I have 21 days till charge left at the beginning of my day and say 18 at the end of the day (on a day in my jacket, not in the sun). I'm sure some of this has to do with how many messages are received and if you're using other features or not. For the record, I haven't and might not ever use the gps functionality. For me, I get notifications so I can keep my phone on silent, can check the time, and have a general scope of my heart rate and steps. That's all I really need. I chose this watch for the solar recharging & the lack of need to charge daily. It works for my purposes. I LOVE the sunrise & sunset being on the display. I got this light purple one, I think it's great to be available in color. I get tired of black watches. It's comfortable. I like the strap & the clasp. It's bulkiness is ok, not too much.

Love the battery life!

I love the battery life I get with this watch compared to the regular Garmin Instinct. The features are great and fitness tracking appears to be pretty accurate.

Nice watch, ok smart watch

I'm usually pretty good with tech, but this watch is above my head so far... after several months. There are so many unused features. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a very good watch, but it's more than I need. I'm very disappointed with the solar feature though, because that feature was largely what sold me on it. It may charge a little via solar, but it's insignificant. I had to replace my first one already because the vibrate notification loosened internally and sounded like an open electric circuit. I wish I had better things to say.

Right tool for the Job!

I have had this for over a year. I needed a watch for the 24-hour challenge I do every August. And it did. It has been reliable and accurate. Easy to use for tracking workouts. Comfortable to wear and easy to read and manipulate. I sweat a lot; touch screens are not my friend during workouts. Overall, it's A great watch. ONE PROBLEM: The charger is weak. It doesn't sit into the watch properly. You have to lodge something against the connector for it to stay connected and charge; this has frustrated me a few times and delayed my Run start because it wasn't charged. My first Garmin, the Forerunner 310XT, had a clamp charger; it worked great. I think my Fenix3 had a weak charger as well.
